User driven refinement of decision support tools to inform mined landform outcomes

Verterra Ecological Engineering and University of Southern Queensland would like to invite coal industry representatives to attend a free half-day workshop at Springsure Golf Club following the CQMRG Rolleston site visit to learn about the newly developed web-based decision support tools now available to improve coal mine soil and spoil rehabilitation management outcomes.  The tool and workshop is the outcome of an ACARP funded research program.

The workshop will include background on soil and site properties influencing rehabilitation considerations, and a practical exercise in use of the Mine Spoil Rehabilitation web-based decision support tool to forecast erosion risk.  Registered participants will receive a data entry form in advance to enable model application to their specific site.

The Springsure workshop will be the first in a series of industry workshops to be held in Queensland and NSW. For additional information, click here.  Details as follows:

Location:  Springsure Golf Club.

Time:  Wednesday 9 June, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
